Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 26, 2025
TexyTools ("us", "we", or "our") operates the TexyTools.com website (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Our goal is to provide a powerful set of tools while collecting minimal to no personal information.
Information Collection and Use
For the vast majority of our tools, we do not require you to provide us with any personally identifiable information. You can use our Service anonymously without creating an account.
Data You Provide to Our Tools
Client-Side Tools (e.g., Smart Notepad): Many of our tools, including our online notepad, are designed to be "client-side." This means all the data you input, edit, and manipulate happens directly in your web browser on your own computer. This data is NOT sent to our servers. When you use features like saving a note, the file is created in your browser and downloaded directly to your device. We do not have access to this data.
Server-Side Tools (e.g., AI Tools): Some of our more advanced tools, particularly those using Artificial Intelligence, may require sending the data you provide to our servers or to a third-party API (like Google's Genkit) for processing. We only send the minimum data necessary to perform the requested function. This data is processed in-memory and is not stored or logged permanently on our servers after the request is completed. We do not use this data for any other purpose.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser cookies and local storage to enhance your experience on TexyTools.com.
- Local Storage: We use local storage to save your preferences and data for certain tools. For example, the Smart Notepad might use local storage to remember your unsaved notes between sessions, and we use it to remember your favorite tools or recently used tools. This data is stored only on your computer and is not accessible to us. You can clear your browser's local storage at any time, but this will erase your saved settings and any unsaved work.
- Cookies: We may use cookies for basic site functionality and anonymous analytics. Cookies are files with a small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.
Third-Party Services
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
- AI Providers: As mentioned, our AI tools are powered by third-party services like Google AI (via Genkit). Their use of your data is governed by their respective privacy policies. We send data to them only when you actively use a feature that requires it.
- Analytics: We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service (e.g., Google Analytics). These providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information. This data is aggregated and anonymized and does not include any personal content you input into our tools.
Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect any data that passes through our systems, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The most secure way to use our service is with our client-side tools, where your data never leaves your machine unless you choose to download it.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
